As an avid, yet amateur, poker player, I've noticed consistent confusion choosing the starting chip distribution when initially setting up a game, and also when settling up debts after the game is over.
(For home games we don't usually put our money on the table, instead settling up after with a series of transfers between players. But this process is annoying and it's easy to make mistakes!)
I decided to make a simple app to automate these parts of my home poker games. And as a bonus, it also tracks the performances of the regular players over time, storing a player profile for each of them, so you can see who is the real shark...
